SHIFT: Season 3 Episode 01: Following Your Voice with Carleigh Aikins

This week we SHIFT to our next focus series, Breaking Boundaries and Following your Intuition. Our first guest is someone I have known for a number of years, and followed her growing career. Carleigh Aikins is an incredible vocalist, songwriter and visual artist. As vocalist in bands such as Bahamas to Paperbirds, to accompanying musicians such as Macy Gray, Patrick Watson to Yukon Blonde. She currently tours Canada/US with Royal Wood; having played Massey Hall, The NAC, Centre in The Square and Roy Thomson Hall. Her original song was featured on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy Season 19; and her voice appears on songs in other national television shows including episodes of The Ranch.
Her renditions of Janis Joplin are uncanny and something you absolutely have to listen to.

Her debut solo album, Junk Jewelry drops this week, on December 3, 2021.

In our chat we talked about trusting our internal voice. Carleigh shared some of the lessons learned following her path and trusting her gut
