Season 4 Episode 02: Floating Through It with Jesse Hy

My guest this week is someone who understands the importance and value of creating time for our own stillness, and the answers we can find within ourselves. Jesse Hy, founder of Float Toronto, initiated this business in order to provide others with that same opportunity.  Originally from Vancouver BC, Jesse has a background in holistic nutrition and has been floating at least once a week since opening his centre in 2014

Floatation-REST (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy) or Floating involves lying on the surface of 10 inches of epsom salt water, (about 1000-1200 lbs) inside of a tank. It is a spacious, where your body moves subtly around in the tank, but where you can be free from external stimulation. There is no gravity, touch, light, or sound.

The benefits of floating vary, and you take away so much from it- from relieving physical pains in muscles and joints, to the mental relief of quiet environment, to a meditative and spiritual experience connecting with your own inward reflection and voice, floating regardless of how many times you, is an individualistic and unique experience.

Jesse and I share our thoughts on this practice, and the experiences we’ve had in the tank ourselves in hopes to inspire more people to float
